Fighter Instructions
This will be an OUTDOOR event. Expected attendance is ~1500 people. We are raising money for a family with a son who was in a car accident with high medical bills and ongoing therapy costs. The family is VERY nice and you are helping some good people facing a terrible situation.
You will sign a waiver at the event. NO FIGHTER INSURANCE IS PROVIDED. IF YOU GET HURT YOU WILL BE USING YOUR OWN MEDICAL INSURANCE IF NECESSARY. This is clearly explained in the waiver.
Arrive no later than 5:45 on Saturday, Sept 7th at the KC Hall in Highland, IL. FIGHTERS AND COACHES CAN PARK AT THE VENUE but tell your friends/guests the general public will park at Highland High School and be shuttled to the event.
You will sign a liability waiver and weigh in upon arrival, and autograph a shirt for Brayden. Fight and doctor instructions at 6:30 in fighter room.
Event begins at 7pm sharp, first bout around 7:15.
Boxers Uniform- A red or blue uniform top will be provided. Wear your own shorts. Boxing/Wrestling shoes preferred but tennis shoes are ok.
Boxers Equipment- Cup (men) and mouthguard required. Wear your own headgear or we have headgear available. Gloves provided (200lbs+ 16oz, under 200lbs 12oz).
Boxers Event- (3) 2:00 rounds 1:00 rest for MOST of the fights. Some, based on inexperience, will be (3) 1:00/1:00.
Jiu-Jitsu matches will be (2) 5:00 submission only rounds.
We will weigh in at the event on Sept 7th. You’ll be expected to be within 5lbs of your registered weight. This is important, show your opponent respect and train to come in at fighting shape.
A professional fight photographer will be there. ALL PICTURES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD AT SOME POINT AFTER THE EVENT.
All fighters can have their friends/family join them in the ring for pictures immediately after the match, before the next match begins. The photographer will take photos and you can do selfies. This event is FUN and we couldn’t do it without all of you.
Fighters and Coaches get free admission (of course). Fighters also will be allowed 1 person to get in for free (give Travis the name of the person and they will check in at the online sales table).
Everyone has their choice of walkout music but this is a family event so keep the raunch to a minimum, please.
